The manual also given in PDF format. I do have Windows 10. There was no reason to clear & reset the BIOS. Takes about 12 minutes to install the VM Windows 10 on a 4 year old i5 with 8GB RAM.
However, if you are still looking for help with this issue or have run into other challenges in the meantime, I recommend posting a question on MakeUseOf's Q&A forum. Crucial is a RAM vendor, and their utility does an excellent job of analyzing the motherboard. If you need to get back to BIOS then repeat the above procedure.
